Justin Grubb – Managing Partner
Born in Portland, Oregon Justin Grubb is an accomplished Real Estate professional with 20 years experience in acquisitions, sales, asset management and capital markets. As a leader in the Portland residential Real Estate market Justin is often approached by media and industry insiders looking to gain his perspective on the ever-changing industry.
Known and respected industry-wide Justin has managed billions of dollars in sub and non-performing mortgages for lending institutions and private equity firms throughout the country. Prior to starting Bulldog Capital, LLC Justin worked with Wells Fargo, Wilshire Credit Corporation, Merrill Lynch, and Bank of America, where he held both advisory as well as executive positions, aiding in repositioning mortgages, REO valuations and serviced portfolios to minimize losses.
In addition to being Managing Partner at Bulldog Capital, LLC, Justin is also a licensed General Contractor and Manager of Bulldog Development LLC. He has the unique ability to spot a deal where others don’t, turning a dilapidated house into the gem of the neighborhood. Since starting Bulldog in 2011 Justin has personally been involved in over 500 rehabs, as well as, developed, designed, and built scores of residential and multifamily new developments.
Despite all the demands of a successful real estate career, Justin is committed to balancing work and family. He and his wife Melissa live in West Linn with their children and enjoy spending time outdoors and coaching little league sports.
Chris Ostlund – Managing Partner
Chris Ostlund, a Pacific Northwest native, has cultivated thousands of business transactions in real estate. Chris’s breadth of experience in the industry has allowed him to succeed at investing in retail, wholesale, and mortgage notes. In the past decade, Chris has been responsible for purchasing, managing, and selling over $200MM in wholesale properties purchased at auction throughout Oregon, Washington, Texas, and Georgia.
Currently a Managing Partner of Bulldog Capital, LLC & Licensed Real Estate Broker in OR & WA, Chris has overseen countless real estate transactions. Chris has always been self-driven, motivated and dedicated and has delivered outstanding services to bring success not only to his clients, but also to his colleagues & investors.
In his free time, Chris likes to unwind by spending quality time with his wife and kids, enjoying skiing, golfing, traveling, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest outdoors.
Rebecca Denis – Sr. Interior Designer
Rebecca was introduced to interior design at an early age. With a father as a contractor and a mother as an interior designer, she was immersed into the design world from the beginning.
Graduating with honors, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of California-Orange County. Rebecca immediately began her career as a designer, focusing on the commercial side of interior design. After three years working as a personal interior designer in Newport Beach, California, Rebecca and her husband decided to start a new life in the Pacific Northwest.
Rebecca has been with Bulldog Development since February 2017 as the lead designer. Using various design softwares from AutoCAD to SketchUp Pro, she is known for creating an overall design vision that blends functionality while curating spaces that keep her customer’s style in clear focus. Her years of diverse design experience ranging from new construction, residential and corporate remodels, has lead her to develop exceptional artistic and creative abilities.
When Rebecca isn't working on interior design projects you can find her at home baking and gardening or riding her vintage 1975 motorcycle.
Marty Martin – Senior Project Manager
Marty has been in the construction industry for 32 years and has held a General Contractor’s license in both Washington and Oregon since 1996. Marty spent 10 years in the historic restoration construction field in Washington D.C., followed by 10 years as a General Contractor in millwork and cabinetry. He then spent 15 years as a residential/commercial project manager.
In his spare time, Marty can be found mountain climbing, beer tasting, and spending quality time with his wife, 3 kids, and 4 grandchildren.
Nick Albano – Pre-Construction Permitting/Acquisitions
Nick has been involved in buying and selling distressed real estate for more than a decade. In that time, he has been involved in the purchase of hundreds of assets and aided in the design of Bulldog Capital’s proprietary modeling software used to value and purchase assets. In addition, Nick has several years’ experience in construction and remodeling, which makes him an asset when estimating rehab costs.
Nick holds an Associate’s degree in Applied Science from Portland Community College and has future plans to finish his BA at Portland State in Real Estate Development. Currently, he is responsible for moving projects through the permitting process while working closely with the architects, engineers and review staff within the City of Portland. During this time he’s also learned a large portion of the building code and has great ability with assessing development needs and potential pitfalls. You might also find Nick onsite helping with inspections and other construction related needs.
In his spare time, Nick likes to snowboard, play basketball, golf and enjoys some of Oregon’s finest outdoor destinations with family. He and his wife Staci are expecting their first child in November 2018.
Tom Neumayer – Project Manager
Tom has lived in the Portland area for 30 years and in that time he has held positions with various residential and commercial contractors overseeing projects. With 15 years experience as a master carpenter, Tom joined Bulldog in 2013 as the lead carpenter swinging a hammer and managing his crew to ensure residential rehabs were done on time and within budget. Tom has been essential to the new construction team as a jack of all trades plugging in where help is needed most.
On the weekends Tom enjoys spending time with his wife and family, being outdoors with a fishing pole in his hand, but never too far from his garage where he always has a project to work on.
Daniel Vasquez – Sales and Acquisitions
Daniel has been in the real estate investment industry since 2009, starting out as an analyst, then moving to sales and acquisitions. He has acquired and sold over $100mm with of investment properties. Daniel received his Bachelor of Science in 2009 in business from California State University San Marcos and completed a certificate program at the University of San Diego in Real Estate Finance, Investments, and Development in 2016. Daniel holds a Real Estate license in both Oregon and California
In his free time, Daniel enjoys surfing, soccer, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, hiking, fishing, trekking, camping, and all sorts of outdoor activities.
